James T. Martin
James T. Martin is an enrolled member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and resides in Spanish Fort, Alabama. Mr. Martin has held leadership positions for nearly 30 years beginning in 1986 as the Tribal Administrator for the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. Today his leadership continues as President/CEO of Creek Indian Enterprises Development Authority (CIEDA). In his current position, Mr. Martin provides CIEDA and its enterprises with executive direction and leadership to a staff of over two hundred. Reporting directly to the CIEDA Board of Directors and Tribal Council, Mr. Martin oversees high-level strategies and decision making, as well as, the overall operations and resources for CIEDA and its enterprises.
Prior to returning to the Poarch Band of Creek Indians as President/CEO of CIEDA, Mr. Martin served as the Executive Director of the United South and Eastern Tribes where he advocated on behalf of Indian Tribes at the regional and national levels.
